How can you help?

Metropolitan Safari is looking for volunteers in each city to make our events successful.

Host Committee

Join the host committee in your city to organize the logistics of the event. Members help to identify food and wine donations and support the planning of events. As a member of the host committee, you will be honored by having your name printed on invitations and other event materials. Having positive and energetic committee members is crucial to the success of each event. Please help us promote our event by selling tickets and inviting friends!

Sponsorship

Being a corporate sponsor for an event includes a number of benefits including verbal recognition during events, logo placement on our Metropolitan Safari Website and an opportunity to link your organization’s website to the Akilah Website. Corporate sponsorships are vital to covering the costs of events so that ticket prices can go directly to supporting Akilah students. Please download our sponsorship packet to gather information about different levels of sponsorship.

Publicity

Help Akilah raise awareness to major mainstream media outlets as well as grassroots driven media. Raising the Akilah profile is equally important as raising funds. By contacting local media about a Metropolitan Safari event in your city, you are helping to share Akilah’s work with a larger audience.

Provide a Home

This will be our two visiting students’ first time in the United States. They will be doing a lot of traveling and are in need of a place to stay in between events. If you are interested in hosting our students in your home, please email Jen at Jen@AkilahInstitute.org.
